My name is Qi (Mione) ZHENG, a Ph.D. candidate in the Advertising and Public Relations Department at Michigan State University. With over nine years of experience in the communication academia and industry, including roles in advertising and media, I identify as both a researcher and educator in strategic communication and public relations. I am still on my way to an actual "doctor"!​

 

My current research focuses on government public relations and crisis communication. My key research question is: How should government entities communicate with diverse citizens, both internally and externally, in various contexts (e.g., in crises)? Regarding methodologies, I am a mixed-methods social scientist with a strong focus on quantitative (e.g., computational) methods.
